Wednesday 16th July 2025 - Summer Term Issue 5

Headteacher Message

As we approach the end of another academic year, I wanted to say a HUGE well done to our Year 6 pupils who received their SATs results last week. We are incredibly proud of them all. Their dedication, resilience, and hard work have truly paid off. Once the national data is finalised, we will be in a position to share the whole school results with you all.

As the year 6 leavers events commence, it was lovely to welcome parents and carers to North America's parents lunch this week. The atmosphere was wonderful, and Year 6 parents even had the pleasure of staying for a game of rounders… obviously the children won!

The KS2 production of ‘The Jungle Book’ was a great success. What a talented group of children we have - well done to them all!

Reception and KS1 had a very enjoyable trip to the Wilderness Foundation, and we received some wonderful feedback which made us all feel very proud. The organisers shared: 'Just to say thank you to all the staff that came with the children and a big thank you to the children, honestly think you might be our favourite school of the year! The children were an absolute credit, and the staff so engaged which makes our life an absolute dream'. This feedback speaks volumes about the character of our pupils and the dedication of our staff.

I'm very pleased to share that the Summer Fete made just over £3,000, a massive amount for the size of our school. We also have some parents applying for match funding, which means this amount could potentially increase by another £1000! THANK YOU so much to the FOGWS! We will be putting this money towards playground improvements, which I will share with you in September.

I have really enjoyed writing this newsletter, as it is full of positivity and lots of examples of our community really living out the ASPIRE values.

We will be sending a short awards newsletter at the end of term to celebrate the children's achievements and leavers awards.

Mrs Brooks
