Headteacher Message
We have had an amazing start to the term, welcoming back iSingpop for their 'Joy seekers' workshop. The day culminated in a whole school worship, and as ever, I was really impressed with the children’s dance moves!
Congratulations to our Platinum Award winners from last half term. Your dedication and hard work make us immensely proud. Keep up the excellent effort!
I also wanted to say a huge well done to Class North America who took part in The English National Opera’s music making project. Their composition was selected to be turned into an animation! Here is a link to your animated composition: Link. Hopefully Mrs Welch has helped to inspire the children to keep on composing!
On Saturday, we had a great turn out for the school grounds morning and I think you will agree that the grounds look very neat and tidy. Thank you to the volunteers who gave their time and also donated plants. Our green-fingered team, weeded, planted and tidied before stopping for a well-earned picnic. It was great to welcome some representatives from the Parish Council to showcase the amazing designs for the Great Waltham village playground. We have attached a flyer below which provides you with more information.
To address our growing mountain of lost property, we are soon introducing two new black boxes - one for Key Stage 2 will be placed outside the hall and another for Reception/Key Stage 1 will be placed next to the reception gate. Feel free to check these boxes for any misplaced items.
A quick reminder that we have class photos tomorrow and to please check the school calendar as we have added a few extra dates, such as the year 6 leavers assembly, transition morning and Class Africa’s assembly.
Enjoy the sunshine!
Mrs Brooks
