    Congratulations to our Y4's for their fantastic effort and first place finish at the Superstars event. 

    The children took part in lots of activities including: scooter trail, relay and throw the javelin. The children were a credit to our school and cheered each other on brilliantly. Stand out achievements were first place for Bertie H and Darcy J. Isabella F also achieved 2nd place in the girls' individual event. Mrs Boyle was proud of everyone.

  • Year 3 Music - Toot's

    Class Europe have been enjoying learning to play the Toot!  We are fortunate to have a specialist music teacher coming in weekly to work with the children.  A toot is an instrument similar to a recorder but played in the style of the flute. We hope they are all enjoying trying something different!

  • UK Parliament Outreach Assembly

    The assembly was about Parliament and different parts of it. I found out that there are two separate parts of Parliament. A 'House of Commons' and a 'House of Lords'.  The Commons are the most important as they have a decision and are from the public. I thought this assembly was good and important so in the future, we can understand how the system works.

    In the Wilderness Foundation sessions, we have been learning about how we embrace nature and the outdoors. We have been learning about climate change and what effect it has on our planet. We also learnt about how we can make a positive difference and ways to help our planet. We talked about if we humans were not there from the very beginning, would nature need us and, if nature was not there, would we be able to survive. We learnt about the weather and what could happen in the future because of it.

  • Eco Hat Making & Parade

    Congratulations to the winners from each class in our annual Christmas hat making parade - a Great Waltham primary school tradition!

    The children had lots of fantastic ideas for their hat designs. They then got the chance to parade their creations around the hall in front of the whole school. Each class had a winner and a runner-up who were both awarded a prize.
