OPAL Shed - Thank you!
A huge thank you to FOGWS for funding our new shed to store our OPAL equipment. Another huge thank you to the volunteers that gave up their time to come in to school and build the shed for us - we really appreciate it.

Over the past few weeks, the children have really been embracing OPAL. We have seen some fantastic imaginative play that we really wanted to share. Please take some time to look at the gallery below.
Congratulations to our Y4's for their fantastic effort and first place finish at the Superstars event.
The children took part in lots of activities including: scooter trail, relay and throw the javelin. The children were a credit to our school and cheered each other on brilliantly. Stand out achievements were first place for Bertie H and Darcy J. Isabella F also achieved 2nd place in the girls' individual event. Mrs Boyle was proud of everyone.
Well done class Asia for a great class assembly on 'Children's Mental Health Week'. The children told everyone about how to look after their well-being and how belonging to a safe place like a school and family increases happiness.
Thank you to Mrs Mixture and the kitchen team for hosting South America's parents for lunch. We hope you all enjoyed it!
Class Europe have been enjoying learning to play the Toot! We are fortunate to have a specialist music teacher coming in weekly to work with the children. A toot is an instrument similar to a recorder but played in the style of the flute. We hope they are all enjoying trying something different!
As part of their Inuit art project, the pupils have been working on soap carvings inspired by traditional Inuit sculpture. The results are truly impressive — intricate, expressive, and a testament to the children’s patience and artistic skill.

The assembly was about Parliament and different parts of it. I found out that there are two separate parts of Parliament. A 'House of Commons' and a 'House of Lords'. The Commons are the most important as they have a decision and are from the public. I thought this assembly was good and important so in the future, we can understand how the system works.

In the Wilderness Foundation sessions, we have been learning about how we embrace nature and the outdoors. We have been learning about climate change and what effect it has on our planet. We also learnt about how we can make a positive difference and ways to help our planet. We talked about if we humans were not there from the very beginning, would nature need us and, if nature was not there, would we be able to survive. We learnt about the weather and what could happen in the future because of it.
Class Europe enjoyed having their parents & carers in for lunch this week. We hope you all enjoyed your visit. Thank you to the kitchen team.
The children had a fantastic time taking part in today's reindeer run! Thank you for all of your kind donations to Farleigh Hospice.
Well done to Mrs Mixture and the kitchen team for a fantastic Christmas Dinner. We enjoyed a lovely meal with festive music.
Thank you to the FOGWS for donating the tablecloths, napkins and Christmas crackers. Another thank you goes to the staff and governors that helped to serve the children.
