The children rotated between classes participating in a range of activities based on the theme 'Lets Talk About It'.
The friends of Great Waltham School held two discos for the children on Wednesday. The children of KS1 got to boogie first and later KS2 wowed us with their dance moves. Party games and snacks were provided at each disco, along with a dance off between the boys on girls, on each occasion the girls won!! The children had a great time. A big thank you to FOGWS and all the volunteers for helping to make the afternoon such a fun experience.
Our year 4's enjoyed a morning out on Wednesday at the Chelmsford Sports & Athletics Centre for the superstars event. They took part in various different sporting activities and all worked well as a team.

Thank you to those who were able to join us for our Christmas Carol service this week. The children sang beautifully and we all went away feeling very festive! Thanks to your generosity the collections from the carol service and nativity play raised £261 which will be donated to GOSH.
Well done to our fantastic kitchen team for a wonderful homemade Christmas dinner on Wednesday.
The children had an amazing time and were all able to pull a cracker courtesy of the FOGWS.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
Our first ever Eco-Hat Making Competition took place on Tuesday. Well done to all of the children for taking part and coming up with some fantastic ideas. It was interesting to see the children's take on the new 'eco' theme - we had hats created from holly & berries to cereal boxes and crisp packets! It was wonderful to see everyone's creations. Well done to the winners from each class photographed below.
Apologies but we will need to close the school today due to the weather conditions. We do not have enough staff due to the distance they live. Stay safe and warm!
