We were really pleased to be invited to take part in The Great Waltham Festival of Choirs. It was a wonderful showcase of musical talent and we are so proud of the school choir who sang beautifully on the night.
Well done to our Y2's that took part in the mini games competition at Chelmsford Sport and Athletic Centre.
Our school placed 2nd out of a total of 42 schools which is a fantastic result!
EYFS and KS1 enjoyed their trip to Call of the Wild Zoo. We saw lots of different animals and learnt about animal habitats. The children represented the school brilliantly and we had lots of fun!
Well done to our Year 6 children who all worked so hard last week. We are proud of you all.
Our reading shed is up and running! We are so pleased to have this available for the children to use at break & lunchtimes.
Thank you to Mrs Stockwell who has donated some outdoor beanbags.
We are lucky to have had some visits from 'Ignition Arts' who have been working with Class Asia and Class North America on developing resilience and mental health. Please see the below quote from the children:
Darren from ignition arts was very funny and loud. We learnt about mental health and how we should express our feelings. He talked to us about different ways of sharing our thoughts if something is wrong. He taught us some very grown up ideas but taught them in a language that we could understand. We learnt a lot about what is important for our mental health in a really fun way. Elsie & Lissie
Thank you so much to all the parents, governors and staff who gave up their time to help at our first ever schools grounds day on Saturday 17th April. It was a great success and we hope to hold these regularly moving forward.
During our Thursday music lessons, Class Europe are going to be learning the P-trumpet. We have linked with Essex Music Services who have arranged a specialist trumpet tutor to join us for a few weeks. It was a good start with the pupils having to try and produce their first sound! Let’s see what the end result is in a few weeks!
