Well done to everyone who braved the rain and parked at a safe distance today.
Thank you to our 3PR helpers who took a while to dry off!
Well done to all of our year 6's that braved the rain and completed their Bikeability training.
Thank you to all of you that came along to our Harvest Festival service at the church, it was great to see so many faces.
A huge thank you for all of the food donations. The bags of pasta will be shipped to Ukraine. The food bank donations were delivered and were gratefully received.
A big well done to the Year 6 Boys Football team for competing in the local schools' football tournament at Great Baddow High School. The boys played really well, winning three, drawing two and only losing one game. They finished 7th out of 24 schools which is a great achievement, especially considering the size of some of the schools we played against.
A big thank you to Mr Hawkins for giving up his time to support the boys training and running the team at the event.
Thank you to those of you that joined us to cut the ribbon and finally open our running track.
We are so pleased to have this up and running (!) for the children to enjoy.
Thank you to Mrs Taylor & Mrs French for doing the honours and cutting the ribbon! Mrs Taylor was the previous FOGWS chairperson and Mrs French is the current chairperson. We really appreciate all of the work they have put in over the years to raise the valuable funds towards the track.
We were pleased to welcome back Mr Burden as a special guest to test the track!
Our generators are making their way to the Ukraine!
We are pleased to be able to offer tours of our school for prospective families with children due to start school in September 2024
Great Waltham pupils perform a play written by fellow pupil Aria
Thank you to everyone for their support in today's Ukraine fundraiser. We held a non-uniform day to raise money for a local charity - Hope and Aid Direct who are raising money to buy generators for the Ukraine.
We raised an impressive £314.45 for the charity which will buy at least one generator. Thank you all for your generosity.
Well done to class Antarctica on a fantastic assembly this morning. It was great to hear your songs about the seaside, continents and oceans. Your counting in 2s, 5s & 10s was very impressive. Well done to all of the children that read out their English writing.
Thank you to all that came along and supported the FOGWS at the 'Party in the Playground'.
It was wonderful to see all the children enjoying themselves and great to see many of our old pupils back to visit.
Thank you to the FOGWS for all their efforts in organising this event and thanks to all the parents, carers, family members, staff and friends who came along to support this event.
The FOGWS will be in touch soon to let you know how much money we have raised.
