I have been a class teacher for many years, but I have actually worked in schools for over 20 years (in various roles) and first became inspired to join the teaching profession after initially helping out as a volunteer in my own children’s school.  There is never a dull day in teaching as every week will invariably bring new challenges and experiences with it.  At Great Waltham I lead the subject areas of Science and Art.  My personal favourite subjects to teach are art, English and history.  I enjoy spending any free time I have painting, drawing and reading historical novels.
