  • Ukraine Fundraiser

    Thank you to everyone for their support in today's Ukraine fundraiser.  We held a non-uniform day to raise money for a local charity - Hope and Aid Direct who are raising money to buy generators for the Ukraine.

    We raised an impressive £314.45 for the charity which will buy at least one generator. Thank you all for your generosity.

    Well done to class Antarctica on a fantastic assembly this morning.  It was great to hear your songs about the seaside, continents and oceans.  Your counting in 2s, 5s & 10s was very impressive.  Well done to all of the children that read out their English writing.

  • Party in the Playground

    Thank you to all that came along and supported the FOGWS at the 'Party in the Playground'.

    It was wonderful to see all the children enjoying themselves and great to see many of our old pupils back to visit.

    Thank you to the FOGWS for all their efforts in organising this event and thanks to all the parents, carers, family members, staff and friends who came along to support this event.

    Well done to Aria, Finley, Leo and Lily who did a grand job representing GWPS at the RCP quiz this week at Boreham Primary School.  The children were picked for their excellent general knowledge and I was very proud of the team.  Thank you to parents for their support on the day.

    Well done to the group of year 5's that attended this years 'Schools Gotta Dance' at the civic theatre.  They put on an excellent show and we felt very proud!

    District Sports - Track & Field events

    Children from KS2 represented our school on the 19th & 26th June at the District Sport Events.

    The children who took part were an absolute credit to our school. The team spirit was second to none. The children cheered each other on and supported everyone brilliantly.

    We won some sprint events and placed in second and third position in the team relays and some sprint races too! Well done to the whole team.

  • Rap-It Workshop

    On Thursday we were lucky to have a visit from rapper, DJ and music producer DJ Shy Cookie - Alex. He worked with all the children in KS2 who took part in his rap workshops. They worked in groups to produce their own raps to share with their classes. It was great to hear from a musician in the field and the children really got a lot out of hearing how he began his career.
