Odd Socks Day
We all celebrated Odd Socks Day on November 12th. It was an opportunity to encourage children to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique.

Well done to our team of years 3 & 4 who represented us at the Falcon Bowls club in Chelmsford.
We held a minutes silence at 11.00am on the 11th November to mark remembrance. Thank you to everyone that donated to the Royal British Legion for the Poppy Appeal. We raised £139.40.
Today we were lucky to have a visit from Karen Noller, author of ‘Jack's First Birthday Adventure’. The children enjoyed an assembly and interactive workshops on how to structure a story, collaborate with an illustrator, edit and publish.

A huge thank you to everyone that attended on Saturday morning. Thanks to the FOGWS for providing the volunteers with well-earned refreshments. All the apples have now been collected from the orchard and the reception play area looks very welcoming - I’m sure the children will really appreciate all the hard work.
Thank you to all of you that joined us for our Harvest Festival. We hope you all enjoyed the service as much as we did. Thank you for all of your kind donations that have been donated to the food bank.
Well done to all the children who took part in the tournament. The girls were runners up and the boys finished fourth. All the children conducted themselves well and demonstrated lots of team spirit - especially in the pouring rain!
Thank you to Essex Music services for the fantastic drumming workshops that they delivered this week. All the classes thoroughly enjoyed it!
Congratulations to everyone in Class Australia for a successful first week at GWPS.
